"Mitt Romney’s eldest son Tagg Romney said that the sometimes heated moments during the campaign make him want to “take a swing” at President Obama."
Sorry Tagg, you couldnt punch your way out of a Gucci bag.Actually, anytime Tagg wants to pick a fight with someone would be a great thing imo because of the very predictable outcome. The Romneys have really shown themselves to be spoiled entitled aristocrats. The wife and her horses and this spoiled 100million dollar trust fund baby. Then there is Mitt and his extremely disrespectful/dismissive behavior at the debate towards Obama. A repulsive bunch.

So, Tagg? Is that red dot on your forehead a sign you've a somewhat offcenter fashion sense or just the Presidential Protective Detail of the United States Secret Service joshin'?
Jovial on there target.
ETA: Congratulations, you just made a very special list with that "joviality". Mommy and Daddy? SO proud.

QUOTE I think Ta-Nehisi Coates' response says it all: QUOTE Yes because a good whippin' would teach that Obama boy to mind his place.
It's worth trying to imagine any black man associated with a credible black candidate for the presidency, joking about beating down the incumbent president of the United States. Racism isn't just in what you do and don't say, but in the terrain you walk. It is baked in the cake -- a fact which is hard to understand when you are the party of white people. Is it his assertion that every though, threat, or act of violence when someone insulted or perceived to have insulted another family member if because of race?
Make no mistake, Romney's son's words are seriously wrong and shameful. I'm simply wondering how Coates made that leap.

Jovial on there target. Haha - probably right. Young Tagg should probably think a bit before he speaks. Gets a little more serious when the Pres is the subject. The thing is as well he's going to be in close proximity to the president on any number of occasions, such as the next debate. Somebody running their mouth from across the country would get some scrutiny, someone in the same room a few feet from the president? Whole 'nother level.
I just hope Tagg isn't twitchy, my Dad's neighbor outside of D.C. was on that detail: They are NOT going to lose another one.

It's just another example of the disrespect for the office of President displayed by Mittens, his family, through to pretty well the entire GOP.

The apple doesnt fall far from the tree. Mitt displayed the most verbal and physical aggression evver directed at a president. I would like to know what christian values the romneys uphold. So far they have shown disdain for workers/47% and a penchant for greed, violence and materialism.

Maybe it wasn't racist Pats.
The point for me is that it is yet another example of a family brought up in a bubble of wealthy having no clue how the things they say may be perceived.
From Binders full of women through to two caddies, I'll bet you $10,000, I know nascar owners to the even more damning 47%.
It just plays into the narrative that Mittens has no idea about the lives of real people. I'm not really about narratives to be honest, but politics these days is just as much about brand as policies - and these things aren't getting any better.

QUOTE per the article: QUOTE “This is the nature of the process,” the Romney son said, who sounded jovial in his remarks. “You know they are going to do everything they can to try to make my dad into someone he’s not. And Davela continues: QUOTE The Romneys have really shown themselves to be spoiled entitled aristocrats. The wife and her horses and this spoiled 100million dollar trust fund baby. Then there is Mitt and his extremely disrespectful/dismissive behavior at the debate towards Obama. A repulsive bunch. You may have something else going on, dude. You might have something else going on as well
its something that seems to inflict the vast majority of right-wingers
It the infliction of mindlessly parroting common right-wing slogans/soundbites/narratives/talking points
In this case its jumping on the the "envy" right-wing talking point
and I must say, like most right-wingers, You don't seem to know what envy is
a feeling of discontent or covetousness with regard to another's advantages, success, possessions, etc.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/envy
There is NOTHING Davela said that would suggest that he wants what Romney has.
Pointing out that someone is a "spoiled entitled aristocrats" doesn't mean that person want to be a "spoiled entitled aristocrat"(from the context just the opposite).
So right-wingers like you, walkaboutcreek, who throw out terms like "envy" or "class warfare" ,when someone like Davela responds the way he does, prove you either don't know what envy means or more likely, you actually know what the term is, but want to label the person exposing "greed" (and the entitlement mentality of people like the Romney's) as being envious because you THINK its easier to discredit the person with that label rather than actually disproving his point

The nerve of Romney's rich spoiled punk kid to think that its Obama that deserves to get punched which implies that his bully a**hole arrogant dad doesn't deserve on is't is the kind of disconnect I would expect from a uber wealthy entitled punk Republican.
Romney's surrogate John Sunnu is going on TV saying Obama is lazy and isn't bright. You once had Romney say Obama was corrupt and on and on an on.
Then when this video of Romney blasting 47% of the population as essentially moochers , when he thinks what he said wasn't going to be known outside of that room, then its pretty clear to me that either he meant every word of that 47% or was blatantly pandering to his wealthy donors. I personally believe it was some of both.
So the point is Obama and his campaign has portrayed Romney much more accurately than the Romney campaign has portrayed Obama.
One other thing these debates show IMO is that I get the impression that Romney HATES BEING CHALLENGED(Its like he so used to being a CEO and talking down to people he views as subordinates which pretty amounts to everyone including the president)
Now can you imagine having to work with Romney?
Imagine having that ahole as your boss?
The more I see the debates the more I'm getting to really dislike Romney.

There's nothing wrong with a boy wanting to stick up for his daddy. Of course this boy is in his 40's. What I love is how the right wing talk show host reduced Obama's correction of Romeny's"facts" down to something such as, "Obama called your daddy a liar.!" It's no wonder conservatives are so clueless about what's really going on in the world if these kinds of shows are where they get their information. If Taggart had actually watched the debate and had some integrity he would have simply said, "Well he didn't actually call Papa a liar. He just corrected him on some facts he got wrong." I suspect he didn't even watch or he wouldn't have responded the way he did as it didn't make a lot of sense.
And Taggart? Seriously? What a pretentious name. Wonder if he's named after Ayn Rand's Dagney Taggart?
