If there was a "Like" button, I'd hit it.

If I could hit it 100 times, I'd hit it 100 times.

Note the chart at 2:20 - the effective tax rate on millionaires is inversely proportional to unemployment.

Classic chicken and egg stupidity

Consumers WITH jobs buy stuff

A big crowd of consumers , even if they have money, may be able to create demand....but it is the precious few that risk THEIR money to start a business to meet that demand (and maybe get rich doing it) that put those consumers to work

The people he provided jobs to went out and created demand

Wake up idiots.....we are not asking the rich to pay more taxes so that people can create demand for products and services

We are asking them to pay more taxes so that govt can waste more of it

You want successful people to pay more taxes so this guy doesn't have to walk a few  blocks

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Gov....le-Walk

How many companies did this bozo keep pouring money into when it was obvious that they were poorly managed , had no control of their costs, and were headed toward bankruptcy?

I not sure what happens in the wacky world of the engineering department babb but in the real world people make investment decisions based on the chance of success, not a few percentage points of additional tax they may have to pay several years down the road.

Their chances of success are boosted enormously with a functioning, thriving middle and working class in America. Everything flows from the direct fortunes of these people.

They will certainly take the low tax option if given a choice but they are hardly going to give up on their big idea if they have to pay 20% cap gains on the money they hope to make over 15%.

What would it take for you to grasp the fact that trickle down doesn't work and will never work?

Bingo.

Grow government bigger, create more red tape, feed government workers prime rib, and buy more votes from people by giving them more at the expense of others.

There's no way the progressives are blind to this. It has to be about winning at any cost. a.k.a. Do it my way or I'll sink the ship and drown us all.

Pure selfishness.

Yes, yes.  It's "pure selfishness" on that side of the coin.  Obviously.

Why do people like Bill and Wild fail to understand the greatest periods of economic growth in our nations history came after large tax increases? Why is it those progressive rates under Eisenhower and Clinton did so well for us yet somehow can't now.

You two __s should be ashamed for trying to purvey such deceitfull kwap...over and over.

Yeah, benefiting wasteful government, hurting middle class America.

If only that were backed up with any evidence.  In the two administrations DC noted, the middle class was doing just dandy.

dandy. lol. ok.

so by that reasoning, taxing working people at 80% would make them well-off, no?

Pull yourself up by your boot straps son. The government isn't going to take you out of poverty or put you there.

You get burned in a ponzai scheme or something? There is a lot of pain inside you isn't there?

What a coherent, brilliant argument.

No, what's brilliant is that people paying higher taxes somehow makes them thrive more financially.

If the video can't explain the concept being addressed, then trying to do it by typing in third-grade language won't help you much either.

That's not even close to what anyone anywhere is saying. But then again, I'm sure you already know that.  You've simply got the troll hat on again, so it's all you know how to say.

This is all so silly.

God creates jobs. That is why they are called jobs, as in Job.

Who needs economics when we have the Bible?

I'm sure the very wealthy are more than happy to sit back and watch the neo cons and Fox News enthusiasts do their bidding for them.

How dare we raise taxes on the people deriving the most from what this country has to offer?  How dare we protect their investments with bailouts and then demand a marginal increase in their tax burden to pay for it?  Let's tax the people who spend every dollar they make to support themselves and their families and our economy, rather than the profiteers who have a whole different set of tax laws and whose investments in development, for instance, actually take money out of our pockets as the value of our homes decline as a result!

Morons and lemmings unite!  Help the poor suffering rich while begging them for the crumbs of employment they're apparently unwilling to share.  Sheer brilliance.

If the rich paying lower taxes ACTUALLY created jobs everyone would already have one and NO ONE would have when they were paying 80%.  Educate yourself on reality or admit that you don't recognize it.
