All those grassroots people who volunteered their time and energy for him just got kicked in the teeth by Tagg.
Mitt Romney ‘had no desire to run,’ son says
My how things change:
A 6 year quest for something he didn't really want...
QUOTE Romney formally announces run for president
Romney, 59, had been widely seen as a likely presidential candidate during his final year as governor of Massachusetts. In 2006, he spent more than 212 days out of the state in what many saw as a preparation for a run for the White House. Romney said today that over last Christmas, he and his wife, Ann, gathered their five sons and five daughters-in-law to ask them whether he should run for president. Their support was unanimous.
"And so, with them behind us, with the fine people of Michigan before us, and with my sweetheart beside me, I declare my intention to run for president of the United States," Romney said.

Dang, that is a shame. Too bad that the Republicans could not find at least one person to run against him in the primaries, so that Mitt wasn't forced to accept the nomination in August.
I guess maybe Tagg and Matt were a little miffed to see all those multi millions being removed from their rightful inheritance, neh??

Similar sour grape excuses:
You didn't break up with me. I broke up with you. I didn't get fired. I quit. I really don't spend that much time on Bin Laden.

Speaking of losing presidential elections:
The GOP self post-mortem seems to be over. No problems found that REALLY require change. Mumble a couple of things about the Hispanic vote. Replace that liberal Boehner. Otherwise, we're good.
Just make sure the next candidate isn't kidding, I guess, is about it.

I too felt that his candidacy was only a joke.

Look, don't flame me for this, I know that Romney's-and my-political views are opposite to 90% of the TPA's posters. But if you actually read what his son said, it was that his father didn't have a lifelong burning desire to be president, that he is a fairly private man, and that he was reluctant to get into the mud pit of presidential politics, but that he felt-and I know all of you will disagree-that he could actually serve the country and use his background to solve some of the fiscal problems the country is facing, and that is why he ran.

One can only speculate why Romney decided to run, what his motivations were, and what he hoped to accomplish as president, because most of what came out of his mouth during the campaign was untethered to the truth.
2012 Presidential candidate Willard Mitt Romney was the most pathological LIAR I have ever seen run for that office. I would not accept at face value anything that man said, or his family members said for that matter.

The best news is that it did not work.
