Bluff and bluster. Who do you think sold them the weapons in the first place? Israel blows up a convoy, the Russians get to sell more technology.

Well the same criticism could be made of the US, the largest arms dealer in the world. Russia does have 18 war ships in the eastern Med. and several thousand marines aboard.

Syria trying to lift some of the international attention by transferring antiaircraft missiles to Hezbollah and they got caught?

Or Israel hell bent on internationalizing the conflict as much as possible. Hard to grab yet more Palestinian lands ("settlements expansion") when things are quiet.

Don't see how "hard" that's been as they do it routinely.

Uh, Israel has routinely violated the Palestinians rights. No one should be surprised. In fact Israel is the aggressor in the region, surely everyone knows that!

Big Bad Israel picking on the Arabs again. It's almost as if Israel wants to survive. I think they need to be condemned. By the UN Human Rights Council. Again.

That land was called the land of Palestine at least as far back as the time of Jesus. That's why the inhabitants are known as Palestinians. The new nation of Israel was formed as a result of negotiations at the end of the Second World War. When the British army pulled out, the incoming Jews from Russia Europe and elsewhere, pushed the inhabitants, Palestinians, to the little corner they occupy now (committing a lot of atrocities in the process) forbidding them to vote, own property, form a government etc. it's little wonder that the Arab world resents them. But American Christians have this "gods chosen people" dilemma that allows Israel to get away with murder! Literally.

Besides all that, Israel lied about the target being a convoy of weapons to Hezbollah. They actually struck a Syrian post, guarded by Iranian forces and Russian advisors.

But you're in good and upright company, what with Russia, Iran, and Syria also condemning Israel's action.
History didn't start with Britain pulling out of Israel in WW2. The "new nation" of Israel has been present since well before Jesus. And you forgot to mention what happened to Jews who tried to stay in Syria, etc. after WW2. What you're presenting as history is false.
It amazes me that orthodox liberals align themselves with grotesque regimes/organizations like Syria, Iran, Hezbollah, and so on where Israel is concerned.

HAIFA, ISRAEL — The anti-aircraft missiles that were the target of a disputed Israeli airstrike on Syria this week were on a military base outside Damascus and had yet to reach the highway that leads to Lebanon when they were destroyed, two Israeli intelligence officials familiar with the air assault told McClatchy on Thursday.
The officials differed on the details, with one saying that the convoy carrying the missiles was parked at a military base in the Jamraya district outside Damascus, while the other said the convoy was in the process of being moved from the base to the highway. But both agreed that the location of the base, less than five miles from the Lebanese border, made Israeli officials unwilling to wait any longer to attack.

And absolutely no proof that the assembled caravan was going to be headed to Hezbollah. But hey, anything Israel says is always gold with Americans.

Are you really going to quibble about where the missiles were when Israel blew them up? Really? And are you really going pay a moment's attention to what SYRIA says? Come on. You've already discredited yourself with your fallacious "history" of the "new nation" Israel.
I'll leave you to it.

Monte,
You're now providing an article that is quoting Israeli officials saying that it was a convoy, while condeming Americans for believing Israel.

A convoy on a military facility with no proof that the convoy was headed to Hezbollah. The Syrian army is fighting a western backed insurgency. And convoys have been supplying the Syrian army for 2 years now. It's none of Israelis business, they have violated Syrian airspace and killed Syrian citizens and destroyed Syrian property but they always get a pass in the west.
