Why is it 'always' Tennessee? Reminds me of that idiotic woman who adopted a Russian boy -- then changed her mind and shipped the poor child back to Russia all alone -- on a one-way ticket with a letter stuffed in his pocket saying, in effect, this seven year old boy is a danger to my family, I don't want him anymore...

At least it is a happy ending for Elton the dog and his new owner.
But millions of discarded pets are killed each year for no reason at all except that no one wants them. It is a shame.
Please neuter your pets. And remember that adopting a pet from a shelter literally saves a life.

That's probably a good place for them to be.

QUOTE (Bass @ Feb. 01 2013, 4:42 am)
QUOTE Please neuter your pets. And remember that adopting a pet from a shelter literally saves a life. That's where all of my doggies come from. And they have all been great doggies. But I've noticed lately that dog shelters are packed full with pitt bulls and pitt bull mixes. Especially now in Reno. Never used to be that way. -Don- SSF, CA I too am a fan of shelter dogs and am glad this dog has a better home than with the idiot he did live with.
In the Baltimore/ DC area there's almost a dividing line. DC area shelters are heavily populated wth pit mixes. Baltimore shelters feature many more German Shepherd mixes.
When I adopted my Rott/Lab in 2003 I was going off of a stat that said adult black dogs had the least chance of getting a home. I ensured that at least one more did and it's been a wonderful decision.

So if one of my dogs "hunched my leg" does that mean I'm gay or just that he's gay (or bisexual) and if I didn't let him keep on hunchin' (keep on hunchin' Buddy, hunchin' daddy's blues away) does that mean I'm confused. hetero, or a secret Paul Ryan admirer? What should I do?

I’m glad that the dog was rescued and all…..But, make no mistake, under no circumstances should that dog be allowed to get married!
