DALLAS (CBS 11 NEWS) - CBS-11 has learned two state troopers involved in a controversial roadside cavity search of two North Texas women have been indicted on criminal charges by a Dallas County Grand Jury.

CBS-11 has learned that one of the troopers, Kelley Helleson, who left the courthouse after testifying Friday, is charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of official oppression.

I agree.

(ugh....I just threw up a little bit in my mouth)

But seriously, of all the law enforcement agencies and officers I know, DPS is not the ones I want to mess with.

They typically shoot first and then ask questions later.....especially when it comes to car chases.

They have no issues of shooting out tires, engines, and anything else to stop a chase.

Case in point, we had a semitruck car-jacked by a person. He forced the women truck driver to go all over Dallas and Ft. Worth. Local law just followed behind and waited.

The second the truck passed the Ft. Worth city limit sign on the west side, a DPS car came up beside the truck and the passenger officer promptly shot out the two fuel tanks and put another round in the grill for good measure.

The truck came to a stop and eventually the man surrendered.

Yes, you do know that the large trucks that drive down the highway have at least two fuel tanks.

One on the left and one on the right side.

Actually it was on TV when it happened.

Car chases are a big thing here in Tejas, especially when the chase involves a big truck that was car jacked and driven by the truck driver herself while the bad guy sat behind her so no one could shoot him.

But back to the story, DPS pulls up along the right hand side of the truck, shoots the fuel tank with a shotgun. They fall back, drive on the left side in the grass median and shoot the left fuel tank and then speed up to get in front and one more shot into the grill.

All caught on tape......Im just too lazy to google it up for you.

Does make sense: having it quietly run out of fuel and engine coolant is far less threatening of some sort of big accident with a large truck. Sounds sort of clever.

Blow the bottom out of the saddle tanks and the thing will just stop on it's own...  the radiator sounds like insurance in case the saddle tanks hadn't been peirced at their lowest point for full drainage.

Heck of a lot safer than a vehicle blockage of the road or a spike line.

This is cam from the chase we had just last nite.

Man accused of being a chomo and was going to be arrested when he took off in his truck and trailer for a two hour + chase from LBJ out to Rockwall and back to end when he killed himself.

Vid is from Balch Springs PD with Dallas and DSO in the chase as well.

Just how can you so adamantly deny something when you write you have NO idea "what that means"?

Were the fuel tanks to be punctured so the diesel fuel (not all that flammable btw) drains out then the truck engine, starved of what gives it power... stops running. Bringing the high speed chase to a nicely controlled stop. The shotgun having punctured the tank with a nice big, rapidly draining, hole.

On semi-tractors the fuel tanks are usually exposed on either side of the frame just behind and below the cab.

But if that incident transpired in a different fashion you can provide a link to the correct description of that same event? You're so sure you must have a credible source. Draining the fuel tanks of fuel of a fleeing, hijacked truck, would stop it there's no doubt. Internal combustion engines require fuel.

I find myself just wonderin' how them girls would have reacted if, instead of a cavity search, them troopers had made 'em stomp on a piece of paper with "JESUS" written on it! Sure did get the boys in FLA upset. The right seems to be set up that way:

* Cavity search = no big deal

* Stompin' on a piece of paper with "JESUS" written on it = an affront to our very being!!!
