The insanity continues;

"Daniele Perazzi was arrested on Saturday after a cab driver turned him into police as a terrorist. The Perazzi Shotguns executive was taken into custody by Adams County Deputies outside of the Denver Merchandise Mart where the annual Colorado Gun Collectors Show was held over the weekend. The show is a noted venue for the finest collectors firearms in the world.

Mr. Perazzi was told by the police to leave the state by Saturday night. Instead, he left the country. His lawyer said legal action against the police is possible in the future.

The arrest of Daniele Perazzi follows a number of incidents where gun manufacturers and legal gun owners have been targeted by government and police.

"In 1930's Germany, the new socialist government of Adolf Hitler (NAZI National Socialist Workers' Party) began indoctrinating children in the quasi-military organization, the Hitler Youth, to inform on their parents should they overhear discussions subversive to the policies of the Leader. As the noose was tightened, local community organizers were appointed to watch their neighbors and were told to report subversive comments to the bureaucrats above them. Neighbors informed on neighbors, some for reasons of patriotism or loyalty, some from fear. A modern inquisition ensued; a terror to free thought and expression. Increasingly harsh penalties were meted out to those who dared to dissent."

So the cab driver overreacted because the guy loaded 7 shotguns in his car? Big woop.

If something similar happened to you, your family or friends, your reaction would be "big woop"?

Hypocrite!

It's not like the guy was beat down or charged with a crime. Maybe he needs to grow a sack and get over it.

It looks to me like Denver is not a good place for a gun show! Better have their next gun collector's show in Texas.

And that is exactly what Denver wants - for gun businesses to leave their fine state!

Now, why would any gun show merchant want to load shotguns in the back of a taxi?  What does that have to do with selling guns at all?

I'd have though, especially "collectors items" would be transported such long distances in nicely anonymous rectangular Pelican cases that wouldn't hint at what was inside in any case: leaving the cabby looking at some gray plastic box of no particular information value...

Shotguns are the preferred gun used by gangs and drug dealers in their drive-by shootings and gunfights. They are actually scatterguns that fire 19 shots ( called pellets ) of 30 calibre with each pull of the trigger. They can throw out more lead projectiles faster than an AR-15 with a 30 round magazine.

These are the most evil of guns. They are much more dangerous than an AR-15. Their projectiles "scatter" and often kill innocent bystanders. A 75 mm ( 3 inch ) diametre wound from a shotgun at close range is almost certainly more deadly than a 5.56 mm diametre wound from an AR-15.

But the NRA has so far managed to keep discussion aimed at banning these evil guns from progressing by claiming that they are used primarily for "hunting". Nobody asks why any sportsman needs a shotgun. What is sportsmanlike about using a scattergun? Doesn't the scattergun destroy all the meat?

So the Denver authorities we right on in going after a person with a shotgun. If there is not enough public support to make them illegal, harassing shotgun owners and telling them to be out of the state by sunset is the next best thing.

BS Boo, the only problem with this topic is that it's completely false.
http://www.downrange.tv/blog....38

I think I keep up with most news in Denver and I did not recall hearing about this on the local stations or reading in the DenverPost. Google can be your friend.

BTW Daniele died last year. So apparently Adams County arrested and deported a corpse. Now there's a story.

Other than that please get a life.

The Perazzi family was under the impression that Daniele Perazzi was dead when buried last November.
So the story here is that 7 months after he died , Daniele made it to Denver for a gun show.
Now that is dedication for you !

Looks like Bugster has no response to his posting of a bogus story. He got busted (again) and all he can do is comment on processed canned food and insert a bunch of these:  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

Anyone else notice that he and BillBab use the "laughing face" as the summation of their "arguments"? It really is quite convincing ....not.

Not to be nit picky, but Denver is not Adams County.  The City and County of Denver have their own police dept.
