Last August I made my first "outdoors" trip and visited Yosemite.  I fell in love and already plan on returning this August again.  Anywhere, if someone hasn't been there, I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

Looks like a cool trip!  Some good shots in there, glad you got to see some bears, and I high-five your notion to get off the path and boulder-hop your way up to the falls.  Cooling off in a waterfall is practically a backcountry tradition.  If that's being stupid, then I recommend it every time. :)

Yeah, while I was there I felt like a kid let loose in a toy store.  I wanted to run every direction, climb on everything, etc.  However, being on a limited time frame, I had to stick to plans. :(  Next trim this fall however, I'll have a lot more free time if I choose to roam off the beaten path a bit.
