This is hilariously coincidental !

I just drove by the turn-off twice last week, and was joking to my wife,  that it was probably named by an Englishman like John Cleese's character in the movie Silverado talking about that "Bloody Basin" in a thick British accent.

Mike I think Nevada, not Arizona, has the highest percentage and total acreage of public land in the lower 48.

Most of the photos on your site just had the little x on them.

Thanks for catching my slip up. Just realized the information I used was pretty dated. So, just checking around online I see that depending on where you look Arizona is currently 6th or 7th in public lands...

Bloody basin is interesting hiking but the road gets worse (was a car killer back in 1999) if trying to get all the way to the reservoir to camp.
