A while back Ms. Dolly and I took a day trip to the historic Oaklawn Cemetery.  



Now Tampa celebrates the invasion of the city by pirates with a big party.


 
Tampa was invaded during the war of northern aggression.



Not much to be said about this stone



The white master had his black servent burried with him.  This must have been quite something for the time.



It seem like “justice” did not take long in following the murder of George.


At the time of the yellow fever epidemics is was not know that the disease was carried by mosquitoes.

Thanks!  I enjoy poking around in old cemeteries, the older the better, and I especially enjoy those with interesting historical connections.
