Beer is something I've considered taking with me on the trail a few times, but never actually bothered with. But this trail beer sounds great!

It sounds like it's a liquid concentrate of some sort that you'd then just add water to. It's not in stores just yet, but coming to the US and Canada in September, just in time for a few last late summer trips I suppose. The flavors sound decent too, which is a small miracle as far as I'm concerned. As soon as I heard about this I thought to myself 'yea, but it'll be some watered down Budweiser clone'. Thankfully not.

How do you know?

I've tasted "decent-sounding" flavors in various foods and drinks.  Some were good.  Some are horrific.

I'll be curious to hear a review of it after you've tried it and tasted it.  Until then, it's just marketing.

It's too good of an idea for it to be bad, it has to be good!

Really though you might be right, it might taste weird or bad for all kinds of different reasons. My point was that at least the advertised flavors are something other than the generic, slightly flavorful water that passes for beer from a lot of beer producers.

Yes, 'tis true. :)

I think it's been tried before though.  Hopefully they found a way to make it better.  I'll keep an eye on it with optimism, but I'll let you try it first. :D

I'd rather have a Trailgarita.

BTW, I invented them.
