Frozen meals, though heavy, stay good for at least 2-3 days without freezing. They sure are tastier than a lot of other options out there.

I've been know to carry a softsided cooler and some dry ice to extend that time.
If you wrap the cooler in your sleeping bag it helps greatly.  I've had shrimp to eat on the 3rd day of a summer trip in southeast Texas.
