I was reading about the Ozark Trail in this month's Backpacker, and the article said the trail wasn't complete.

Is there a good guidebook / map that delineates where the trail is/isn't complete? Or does anyone reading this know? I'd like to do a weeklong trip there  (in MO more than AR) that highlights some of the more interesting terrain.

Thanks,
Steve

I am biased, but I cannot imagine a more effective volunteer trail organization than the OTA. The work they do is outstanding.

I believe that the OT has 225 miles of contiguous trail with essentially no road walking. The ultimate goal is connect it with the Ozark Highlands Trail in north-central Arkansas, as well as extend its northern terminus east to St. Louis.
