One of the trips I am considering (Idaho) is from Canyon Campground traveling along the Big Smoky, crossing over to follow the trail along Big Peak Creek. I am looking to camp at around an elevation of 8430, as per the Baker Peak topo map. The spot I am looking to camp at is before the trail begins to climb up to the saddle, about 12.5 miles from Canyon Campground. Looking at sat. images, to me, it looks like there is a water source. If someone has been up that way would you mind sharing your knowledge of their being a water source at elevation 8430?
