It looks like I'll be back in Westminster in time to hike 8/8 and maybe even 8/9.  I'll have the dates nailed down tomorrow or Monday.  Is anything going on that weekend?

I suppose so.  I'm pretending that August will be held over for insufficient total hiking.

I could hike on the 8th.  I might even be able to put together an overnight trip if you're interested.

Sept 8 or 9?  That's Sunday or Monday?

Sunday I could do.  Not sure we can beat Arapahoe Pass, but we do have options around here.    :;):

The Jones Pass area might be nice.  If the weather is good, we could hike along the ridge toward Mt. Nystrom, or if not, we could drive over the pass and hike up to McQueary Lake.  Or we could head up to the old mine at Butler Gulch.

None of these hikes are too difficult.

OK, the actual days are Saturday, perhaps Sunday, and also perhaps Friday (9/6-9/8).  Friday looks more available than Sunday right now.

I'm still uncertain about Saturday. I thought the date sounded familiar. Ed's Jekyll and Hyde ride is that day.

Although, I'm uncertain if I am going. If I decide not to go, it will be pretty last minute. I'll let you all know if I can join in your fun.

The only thing I have thought about was that hike mtngrl and woodswoman did last week.   It looked like some high country without a brutal climb.   Outside of that, my brain is being occupied with work and weaving at the moment.  I will try to shove those things aside tomorrow evening and think about hiking.

Deborah, are you talking about the Ute Trail in RMNP?  I thought that looked like a spectacular hike.

Sorry I can't make this one (although, I still don't know if my motorcycle even runs. ??? ).  I'm leading this ride and committed.

Hopefully I can catch you next time you are in town, Alex. :)

Have fun!

Yes, that one.

It would be a longer driver to get there.

Mtngrl and I are planning to hike to Mills Lake in RMNP this Saturday, Sept. 7 . If you all want to join us, let me or Mtngrl know. It's a very pretty hike  :)

You can send me a PM here, or call Mtngrl (Deborah, you have her #).

So looks like the Mills Lake hike or Ute Trail? Either is fine with me.  Deborah, I didn't get your PM, but this morning was the first time I have never been able to retrieve a PM from there.
