I've been playing Ingress lately and am a little addicted right now. You guys in the old, southern cities would love this. There's lots of activity in the historic areas. Around here it is lots of driving but in the old historic districts it would be lots of walking.
I have been up to Courthouse Rock and went to Charlies Bunion yesterday. With my schedule I am not sure I'll have many more free days until the 2nd week of January but maybe something will get canceled and I'll get a day free

I have been home with the littlest one. We are trying to figure out a weekend to go camping before I go back to work Jan 11th. But PPants just started a new job at Disney (went from being an intern to a real position) and we're not sure yet.
Actually I'm starting a new job too. And so is my sister. So vacation scheduling seems like it will be a pain until closer to the spring..
I need to get in a tent before I go back to work or I might scream!!!

Haven't been in a tent since July. Sufferring deprivation. Many family obligations.

I haven't been in a tent since HOTB, but I've been to Paris.

QUOTE QUOTE The weather in Georgia has been amazing and is about to go bad. Likewise here in Tennessee and over into north carolina....... The last two weekends, ive been hiking in shorts and tshirt....... Its been so great. I was hoping for a shorts wearing Christmas again. Heavy rain/thunderstorms tomorrow with a cold front behind it. Oh well, it was good while it lasted. Spring will be here before too long.

Im looking out of the window now and just hoping I wont have to cut the grass soon and yeah in Dec! Did a car camping overnighter with the tarp and hammock down the road here at Charlie Elliott a couple of weeks ago, just had to get that campfire smell on me! Then we all caught the flu round here and I had enough time and got bored enough to youtube all the bigfoot sightings in Ga (Hey NO snickering, its entertaining try it!) Want to do the Pine Mt trail soon, just because Ive never thru hiked it and I live in Ga, so I feel like its the law or something.

Got out to Savage Gulf about a month ago for a two nighter and Mammoth Cave before that. But nothing since. Wouldn't mind some semi-cold weather camping, nothing crazy though.

Does "hiking" in the Magic Kingdom count? My last hike was in the Gorges State park in NC in October. Damn family-centered holidays. I'm planning a "Christmahanukwanzakah" relief hike Jan 5, after all these awful obligations are over with. I'll be five miles from the DuPont State Forest next week, for four days. But my wife said (loosely translated), "If you take off and go hiking and leave me with your bleeping relatives I'll cut off your bleep and shove it up your bleeping bleep". So no hiking for me. Maybe I can take my relatives up looking glass rock, give her the credit card and point her towards the nearest outlet mall?

Did some dayhikes at Fall Creek Falls (TN) over Thanksgiving, but that's been it lately.
Cajun's trip was obviously Paris, TN.

Believe it or not, I have been to Paris TN. Nice lake but the lodge sucks. Not a lot to do there if you don't have a boat.
