The Tellico River is located in eastern Tennessee near the town of Tellico Plains. I spent 2 days exploring the headwaters and taking in the beautiful scenery. This part of the river is in the Cherokee National Forest which is operated by the US Forest Service. I visited there during the government shut-down but the area was still open for use.

Wow! Very pretty. I like your eye and angles for shooting. Good stuff.

Well done Mark. What kind of set up were you using? Camera, tripod, lens?

I am using an older 3CCD Panasonic HPX170 camera.  The camera has a 13x fixed lens.  For support I use a Manfrotto 3221 tripod with Bogan 501 head.  I also occasionally use a 5 foot jib/crane and DIY motorized slider but both are too cumbersome to carry very far.

Excellent. Well done, that's right up my alley. I can spend hours photographing mountain streams and the Tellico River has endless boulders, rapids & falls. TFS.

I just noticed your other waterfall videos on Vimeo in N. GA. I've been to almost all of them. I'm surprised our paths have not crossed yet.

This starts way upstream of the fish hatchery and ends downstream near the ranger station.

Who knows.  Maybe we have crossed paths.  I  have met  some people on the trails that I knew 30 years ago.  It always amazes me.
