Well I am supposed to be doing my first solo trip this coming Monday to Wednesday...but it seems like the east coast is going to get pounded by this Sandy hurricane from the south and some crazy winter storm from the north...being a full moon and all Monday night there could be major flooding also. This sucks. I have to track this storm and hope by Sunday it dissappears. I don't mind backpacking and camping in a good storm...but this could be a massive storm and it will be my first time going solo. I may have to push it back untill next week...dang it!!!

I'm getting married on Sunday, outdoors, on the banks of the Chesapeake, in a kilt. Bring it Sandy...

Well, JimInMD it'll certainly be a memorable occasion with or without the storm (maybe even more so with the storm). So, congrats! I have a friend whose church got struck by lightening during her wedding ceremony. It was hectic at the time, but now she fondly looks back upon her photos of her and her husband posing proudly with the fire unit that came to their assistance!!
GottaGamble - yeah the timing sounds pretty bad - whatever choice you make is gonna be a gamble!! Sorry, that was a really poor, poor joke.

Good thinking postponing. It'll be there next time.
Congrats on the wedding Jim. Mine was during an unbearable heatwave with very high humidity. I sweat like a manic when it's not hot and humid and wearing a suit. By the time the reception came, it was pouring. I think we got 3 - 4" of rain in an hour or so. They cancelled the Buffet show that night, which we would have been at if not for the wedding.
