Southern NY just as a fyi which encompass the catskills that opening day for deer season is Nov 17th this Saturday.

While caution is always advised while hiking on State land,  If you bushwack id recommend wearing Orange blaze even on popular areas as their could be people hunting them as well.

Gonna be my first time hunting this year,  planning at hunting the state land behind my cabin in the catskills.  Since there's very little access to this state land I should be away from the city folk shooting at movement and maybe have an enjoyable experience.

Weather looks good for the weekend too so at the very least if I see no deer, ill have a couple nice hikes heading up the mountain and back haha
