I just got the Siren review published. I think they did a very good job with their first-ever quilt.

That does look like a pretty nice quilt. I am interested in the material that they use... I wonder how similar this 10D material is to the Nobul material... The square baffles are neat too and reminds me of the Karo baffling that Tim uses on some of his quilts, although these look to be completely closed so the down cannot shift between chambers?

I think it is very similar to the Nobul 2 nylon.

Yeah from what I can tell these are closed baffles. So how do you shift down with those Karo baffles?

My down pants are Nobul 1 on the inside and Nobul 2 on the outer...both materials feel awesome next to skin...I love them. And according to Ti Goat, both 1 & 2 is down proof, but I am curious to see if it is over long term use. As I recall, Nobul 1 is the exact same material as the old "8D" and IIRC, some said that the 8D was not extremely down proof... So far they have been pretty good with a little bit of down leakage at the seams... How has the material on your quilt held the down inside?

As for the Karo baffles, each square has a corner that is left open, so down can be shifted both up and down as well as side to side, it just takes a little bit of time. Of course this is also a good thing since it holds the down in place pretty well.

It has been maybe the best material I have had yet for being down-proof. I swear I don't find any feathers from it.
