i have a gregory z35r pack. was wondering if i could do a 3 day hike with it,comfortable. with a 2p tent,pad,sleeping bag.and neccessities(food,clothes,etc..) or should i move up to a bigger bag? hike in one day,camp,and hike out 3rd day!

Depends on your gear and level of comfort in camp.  The Complete Walker III and IV had a section dedicated to calculating pack volume (snowy winter requires about double your sunny summer volume).

Pack it up and see if you have enough room. My new pack is a 40 +10 and with my current tent and sleeping bag/sleeping pad, it would be a really tight fit to get everything I need in it for a 3 day excursion. Smaller tent and a bag that packs down a little smaller and I think I could do it or I'd probably have to attach the tent externally.

Depends on the tent, bag and pad. If you got everything at REI, I doubt it. If you go with things that pack smaller and are lighter, maybe.
