I think I might need one. I can get lost in youtube sometimes. I listen to a song and then see another song I like listed then another... Well I get in the gear section in some forums and I read about something that interests me, then I see something else that looks interesting, then another and so on. This can be something I don't plan on buying, don't own, or whatever. It just interests me. Anyone else do this. Should I worry?

That's not a 12 step program. That's ADD. Or ADHD, or whatever you want to call it.
Welcome.

Yes you should worry, along with 95% of the rest of us in this forum and on the internet in general.
You're not saying you BUY these items, you're saying you spend a lot of UNINTENDED TIME looking at them. The internet is very enticing to the brain. Every time you click and bring up a new image, the brain reads it as stimulating reward. Just click and get your prize.
Personally I believe that everything you do should be aligned with specific values and goals. "Click and reward" is a mindless way of spending time that is not goal directed.
If I asked you, "Are you willing to give up one full day a week---52 days a year, 520 days every decade---for no good purpose?" you would probably say no. If I tried to STEAL that much time from you you would be mad. But most people probably throw away at least that much time on the internet, as if that time had no value. It works out to more than one full year lost every decade. That's enough to have a significant impact on your finances, health, relationships, career, etc.

I'm not a quitter Eggs, I haven't been to a gear meeting in ages.
