Hey all I'm currently developing a product that generates power while people walk. I've been hiking for years now and know how problematic it can be to run out of power at an inconvenient time. The device would slip into a boot and would be incorporated into a replaceable insole. Interesting idea. I filled out your survey, but I'll reiterate my chief concern ... healthy feet is the utmost important concern for my hiking. Having something in the insole would be a challenge to that I would think!

Similar in concept however our device uses different technology. We are using a mechanical system instead of nano-structures. We are also beginning to talk to local podiatrists to ensure our insert doesn't have any ill affects on a person's foot while they walk.

A few of the questions aren't clear what you want to know -- what kind of cell phone, you want to hear Samsung or smart phone or model number or what? Good luck.

So for that question I am looking for what the manufacturer is and the model (just the manufacturer works in most cases as they tend to use similar batteries across phones).

So some of it is "hike-ographics" but a lot of it for instance with your question about what type of cell phone will go into product development. Different cell phones have different battery storage capacity and thus we would need to be able to supply enough for a specific phone. In addition if you are looking at iPhone vs other phones there is a different voltage and amp requirement to charge the device.
