Hi there! I just receive my first fuel stove (OmniLite) and everything is great and all that...
but now that I to store it and since I only have one bottle, I was wondering if it's a good practice to always remove the pump from the bottle when not using it.

Also... (if) I have to remove the pump, is there a way to clean the remaining fuel on the pump? I tought about storing it in a ziplock bag... is it a good idea?

Thanks!

I just store the pump loosely on the empty bottle. I've emptied the pump previously by inverting it (which puts the fuel pickup into the airspace at the "top" side of the bottle) and blowing all the fuel out of the line during the shutting down process (various MSR liquid fuel stoves, XG, XGK, DragonFly).

I've stored my pump on the fuel bottle for years and have had no problems with it. I just make sure it's depressurized.
