So I thought I'd share...

http://www.roll-up-sunglasses.com/

I've now got a pair in my backpack. Lightweight, compact, and tough. My eye doctor gave them to me.

My Dad had a few pairs years ago.....he had a very self depreciating sense of humor and would always come home w/something odd like a goofy hat or what not.

Actually, I am still reading Colin Fletchers Volume IV and he mentioned them as well as handy to have as a back up.

Will they fit over a pair of prescription glasses?

Boy are those goofy looking :D

But certainly a nice lightweight backup to keep with you.

Ron - my best guess is that they wouldn't work with glasses.  Just judging by the pictures, it seems like they kind of "grip" your skin, and I'd bet they'd slip on the arm of your glasses.  Pure speculation though...

My grandma has those and I thought she put them under her glasses but not 100% sure. In any case she wears them with her glasses.

They don't work on my reading glasses. You'd have to wear them underneath. As it is, they don't exactly hold very well on my noggin. A breeze could easily blow them off.

They'll still work for my needs. I rarely wear sunglasses while hiking...in the woods. I'll have to weigh a stapler and see if wearing real sunglasses or wearing these makeshift sunglasses and a stapler makes more sense.

Seam Grip is better than the stapler.

It's a multi use piece of kit.

Thnx
