We were talking about this in the kids' forum and decided the feet needed their own thread
With my nephew on his first camping trip

Ryan and I on our kayak camping trip in September

At the end of the West Coast Trail.

I resisted posting pictures of damaged feet LOL

The night of the 4th day on the PCT. I had a shower on day two and cleaned them with baby wipes on day 3. The baby wipes ended up black and didn't even begin to clean them up.

I'll leave out the photos on my self inflicted toe surgery after my feet grew half a size larger on the JMT and my pinky toe became one giant blister.

Jeff that happened to both my baby and second last toes on both feet on the WCT LOL and I also had to do some self surgery, and then wrapped them in strips of clean underwear hahaha. Baby toes have never been the same, they are always very pink now!

Ok here's another, the day I forgot to wear my gaiters when my friend Carolyn and I tried to hike the JDF in the worst weather ever. We stayed in the lovely amazing shelter on the 2nd night

QUOTE Jeff that happened to both my baby and second last toes on both feet on the WCT LOL and I also had to do some self surgery, and then wrapped them in strips of clean underwear hahaha. Baby toes have never been the same, they are always very pink now! Yeah, mine too! And it took a year to get the feeling in my big toe back. It felt numb like it was shot up with novacaine. I thought I had nerve damage.
My little toe blistered over, so I covered it in foam and forgot about it until 4 days later it suddently hurt really really badly. Turns out it blistered over, then popped, and started to hurt. I sliced the old skin off and it looked like a new, but pink layer of skin was underneath. Felt good as new, but was pink and softer. Weird.

Now my posts are getting double posted, weird.
My blisters on blisters etc etc happened after I put blister bandaids on the original blisters, then when I was hiking the next day and the blisters were multiplying it all got worse. In camp that night I had to peel off the blister bandaids (which are apparently supposed to be left on until they fall off, but as if you can do that when the blisters wont' stop!!! LOL)

An old favorite. I can't remember who stitched these together for me, but I'm grateful.

For some reason this is what came to mind with this thread. These are Sasquatch tracks left by yours truly from several years back trekking with Tarol in Yosemite N.P.

These tracks were left in plain view of the road BTW. A park ranger was staring at me for walking around in the snow bare footed. LOL

This is why I don't wear hiking boots anymore.

This is day 4 on the trail just wearing cheap shoes.

Nice shots folks. I have to see if I have any here at work that I can post. I did have one from on top of the Precipice trail in Maine.
