Hikers take flight when what they thought was a bear resembles Bigfoot

By: Pete Thomas, GrindTV.com

Naturally, skeptics are analyzing the video in the hopes of finding an explanation. Yet even healthy cynics are pretty impressed with what they see. They note that the witnesses don't appear to be acting. If they were, the skeptics say, they'd likely be a lot more vocal, and fall into the overacting trap. (Watch this video for full breakdown.) They also didn't stick around to get a great shot, which also rings of a very natural reaction, but didn't help when it came to capturing a better image.

All I know is that I hike in Provo canyon all the time, and Bigfoot has never pestered me-have seen some impressive bear tracks.  Would be interested in knowing the exact location.

You can't really see much with all the trees in the way.  It does look like an ape-like being, but it could just as easily be a black bear seen through thick brush - giving the illusion of something else.

It's the Provo Man-bear!

Actually, it looks to me like a curious black bear standing up to get a look at the silly humans.

Pretty much my thought too.  If you look at the leaves obstructing the view (which make it look like the thing has a much thinner arm than it likely actually does), it's pretty obvious it's probably just a black bear standing up behind some trees.

Or a guy in a monkey suit.  Hey, it wouldn't be the first time. :p

I think they knew full well that it was a black bear.

But, the hikers were pretty smart. By stopping the video at that moment, they could produce some doubt of what was filmed. This makes them smart because at over 700,000 views, they'll get a sizable check from Google. All it takes is a hot topic and the right "key" words.

Odd how Bigfoot sightings appear to be almost always of an adult male.
Where are the females and the young ones ?
How come bones have never been found ?
How can you hide a bunch  of them ?

Would you be able to distinguish between a male 'squatch and a female?  :p  I'm not sure I could, at least not without a closer inspection than I'm comfortable with.
