Sounds like a good one.  Can't think of many individuals who did more for backpacking than Fletcher.

Wow, timely... was just puzzling today why no one has ever done a bio on Fletcher.

I wonder what the author's qualifications are...

Went to a talk he gave at a local bookstore once when he published "River." Sad that those days are all but gone now with ebooks...our bookstores around here aren't doing so well...
I love my kindle, but....I used to love browsing the bookstore and going to author talks.
