So in poking about I ran into the Milford Track in New Zealand being regulated  as a one way trek. Presumably to increase the feeling of isolation as the walkers wouldn't constantly be encountering people coming from the other end.

As a world famous tourist trek it's no doubt subject to pressure not found on many US trails but there's probably some.

Any nominations for a United States route that would benefit from this?

Oh and no fair nominating Half Dome, though I see the temptation. :D

Seriously, Bright Angel and Kaibab? trail could be combined for a one-way experience, except many people, like me, don't go all the way down, just take a hike part way then turn back.
