HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all. Let us be truely thrankful for all our blessings including living in the this great country - conservatives and liberals alike as well as noisy Harleys.

Indeed, well put hikerjer.
A lovely day here in Minnesota, cool, sun awash over the landscape. Many a turkey hitting oven racks across the mid-west about now, except that is, ours. Ours is out on the grill, as turkeys ought to be on Thanksgiving. Nothing is quite so fine as padding out the backdoor, seeing smoke gently curling from your grill vent, whilst catching the aromas of sizzling bird.
I shall repair on the couch now and wait. Wait in the lingering aromas of baking pies, and cluttered noises of a bustling kitchen. With any luck, I may keel over, pulling a soft gramma quilt over my empty belly, and dose serenely in the comforting ambiance that is Thanksgiving day, across this fruited plain.
A tip of the hat to the good people of these cyber pages. May your bellies be full, and your heart even more so.

My Kids are in town and already had a midnight Turkey Feast with BigRed's Girlfriend's family, but we are eating ours later this evening and have a day of cooking and board games to look forward too. The sun is shining and the wood stove is crackling warmly and I am Thankful for so much.
Happy Day, all you good people.

I am very thankful for the people I call family. While none of them are blood related to me, they have all made my life better. Some of those fine folks post here, and I feel an affinity for most members of this board. Nice little community we have here.
When are we going to legalize pot, give ourselves healthcare, and improve the playground? This community still has some work to do.

We had a good day but I realized how many people who used to be a part of the tradition have vanished while there are new ones around each year. I guess that is traditional too and I am so Thankful most of all for the people, even if most of the ones I love really are Turkeys

Nice table settings! Glad to see those plates in the picture. Sorry we couldn't make it, but it looks like you had a house full.
