That is so amazing.  Thanks for sharing. My friend and coworker assures me Puffins are delicious but after watching them in Newport, OR and Reading, "Night Of the Pufflings" to class after class, I will stick to eating turkey and watching these little clowns of the seas be free.

When I was in Maine back in 2007, I wanted to see a Puffin so badly. I didn't realize I needed to ferry out to the islands. Not to mention, it was Sept and they were probably no longer there. I need to go back and see a Puffin.

In the near future, I hope to go back to Maine. There is a group one can go with into a blind on Machias Seal (SP?) Island to watch/ photo puffins. I saw a rather funny pic of the blind with photographers and birders in the blind and 10 or so puffins sitting on top of the blind.
