Anybody have experience with a micro tattoo? I'm looking at getting my next piece of ink and was wondering about a smallish piece to save cash. Does detail wash out quicker in a micro tattoo given the (lack of) size?

I have 2 relatively small tats ($50 each), but only for the past 5 years, so I cannot comment on the wash out effect. Fine lines are difficult so pick your artist carefully.

Seems to me it would take as much time to do a good quality micro tattoo as a normal one, so I don't know if you'll save any money.

I wonder, when the skin sags with old age -- might a faded micro actually be an advantage over one that covers the entire canvas?

I am not sure. When is the next Blue Moon?
ETA: Looks like July 31, 2015 is the next time there will be 2 full moons in the same month, for the Northern Hemisphere

Fine detail is the first to blur.
You can save cash by not spending it. Save for a more satisfying piece.

When I was in high school I almost got a tattoo with a couple of friends, of course we had been partying hard before we all decided to get the tattoos. I was to be the last to have the tattoo done, I sobered-up, changed my mind. Needless to say my friends were not to happy with me the next day.
