So after deciding I really have had about enough of law firm / litigation life, I threw out a resume to an architecture / design firm called Gensler. 2 days later, I've already had a phone interview and I am waiting for a call back to schedule a face to face interview. I'm not getting my hopes up, I know that was just round 1, but still, it is a little exciting.

Working in construction law I know a lot about Gensler and its products and projects, but I know nothing about what the culture of the company itself might be like. Maybe someone here can shed some light on them?

I'm scheduled for a 2nd round directly with their general counsel! It was funny because she is in San Francisco, and I'm actually going to be in Nor-Cal that weekend and offered to appear in person. Unfortunately she is on leave and interviewing remotely, but they appreciated the offer to make the effort I think.

It isn't until the 28th, so I'll be on pins and needles until then, but it's exciting!

Update! The 2nd round went GREAT and I've been passed on to round 3 with the regional executives in my local office.

I'm super excited and I think this would likely be my "final" job switch for a long time if they hire me.

They are going to call me tomorrow to schedule the next round...yay!!
