My wife is very good a hiding gifts....so good she can't remember where she hit mine.
Packages from my mom and brother are supposedly enroute...so I got zilch.
Hope all of you did better. Anyone get any cool backpacking stuff?

I gave myself a Kelty Cosmic Down as a 3-season bag to replace the 23 year old Cat's Meow.

My GF got me a Trek Vertigo double-flame windproof butane lighter for winter camping! Pretty much I walked around the house with it all day like a six-year-old with a toy gun, lighting candles. That was my only hiking/backpacking related gift, but I had a good haul!

A blender with a take-n-go cup so it'll be easy to take smoothies with me in the morning
Two charms for my Pandora bracelet - one Christmas tree, and one that says best mom
A Forest Service Ranger Teddy Bear
And a few other assorted goodies
Our son got a push/scoot John Deere tractor, a zoo truck with animals, his own Leapfrog laptop (no more playing with Mom's since he pulled off the spacebar ), Tigger stuffed animal, a little self powered dump truck, one of these, several outfits and books, and lots of practical things in his stocking

I got some shirts that didn't fit and a Starbucks card. My girlfriend also gave me a Fossil watch. I really didn't need a new watch (I love my Suunto Core), but I didn't have the heart to tell her. I'll wear the Fossil proudly.

I didn't get any backpacking gear, but I really don't need any. I bought myself an ultralight 20 degree bag before my Colorado trip in August, and I also bought myself a ton of bow hunting gear this fall.
My wife got me National Geographic's 50 of the World's Last Great Places. I was hoping that she'd also tell me that she won Powerball and we'd be visiting all the places. Alas, no. Just another source for adding places to my Wish List. Starting with a mountain range in Canada's Northwest Territory named the "Unclimbables". I gots to get me there!

I had the strange experience of suddenly being inone generation older than we are used to. The boys were both really excited to be participating as Santa for the toddlers in their lives. They came bringing gifts they had planned and worked for with their girlfriends and were more interested inshowing us baby pictures fro The Santa gifts Than what they had gotten. The gifts they got me were amazingly on the money for what I like, books I love, clothing that fits, a huge family photo frame, headboard size

A Sea to Summit spoon, toe and hand warmers (although I doubt I'll ever use them), and a new pack cover which was desperately needed (my current pack cover has more duct tape and holes in it than a fish net).
We're also going to Disneyland - First time in over five years...itching to go.

^ I could use a new pack cover myself. On my last trip something really tore into mine while I was sleeping (in the rain, so I guess I didn't hear the critter).
I got a new Snowpeak stove, light weight knife, a watch, dry sacks, and 2 new maps. I really got the hook up

I had a lucky Christmas perfect for building my winter hiking arsenal. Fiancee gave me a nice set waterproof maps of the White Mountains, a Seirus Neofleece Combo facemask/neck warmer, Cat Crap, a BD Raven ice axe, and 5 packages of my favorite flavor of ShotBlocs! And my parents gave me a nice REI gift card.
While that was fantastic, my favorite gift was being able to spend time with my family and the laughs that were shared!!

No gifts given or received. We do not do the commercial holiday. I did spend a lot of time in the Atlanta REI helping the Sierra Club with their gift wrapping fund raiser for the intercity outing program.

Nothing....yet. I'm still stuck down here working in South Louisiana. Hopefully, this is my last week. I'll get to open presents when I get home but just getting home will be the best present.

A REI gift card, a Mountain Chalet gift card, Starbucks giftcards, an amazon giftcard, a pistol holster, a goofy bird garden decoration, a little bear statue, a calendar, Omaha Steaks, an electric toothbrush, tons of birdseed, and a good Chirstmas Eve shared with family and friends.

My main gift was a spa day in St Croix and I loved every single minute of it! Also got the usual pretties like jewelry, candles and soap! Of course, being single with no kids, I usually buy as many gifts for myself while I'm shopping for others

I got a quiet night at home watching it snow. Earlier, a few of us cycled around some food baskets, left at door steps, where there was not the slightest risk of thaw. Every doorstep is a freezer.
Simple, inexpensive, no big deal. The way I like it.
