Thanks for posting as I sit here watching the predicted 1 to 2 inches of snow turn into four already. We've been to Sawbill many times. I did see this once years ago here in No NE MO, but not in those numbers. Another couple of interesting winter related happenings here when we were out hiking were when we had a lot of snow melt and then it froze followed by the unfrozen water rolling downhill (wonder why water always seems to go down hill) leaving the ice sheet a foot above the forest floor in a large low area. Another time all the trees in a low area had a four foot of snow near their base about 1 1/2 feet above the forest floor after another more-or-less melt and runoff. Nature can really out do itself sometimes. Wish I could have seen the massive snow flower "field". Thanks again for sharing.
