Our family has always used Hot Chocolate.
Hot chocolate tastes better in an orange cup January 3, 2013 European scientists say they have found further evidence that how you serve food and drink matters hugely in the perception of taste.
"The colour of the container where food and drink are served can enhance some attributes like taste and aroma," Betina Piqueras-Fiszman of the Polytechnic University of Valencia said in a press release.

I've seen so many recipe's lately with things served inside an orange peel that at first this is what I thought you meant. I was trying to imagine the hot chocolate with a hint of orange and liking that but thinking the peel would collapse and burn your fingers. Maybe what I need is coffee before I open the forums

Well I know that in March we tint milk and scrambled eggs green and do a St Patrick/ Dr Seuss party at the grade schools and even though the food coloring is tasteless it makes the food taste different when it looks that different.

So you are saying that served in a vintage poop brown mug from the '70's makes our drinks less desirable?

So how many people had to have hot chocolate today because this thread kept reinforcing the idea every time that you popped in to the Trailhead Register? I haven't given in yet but I have the most amazing recipe that is good in any color mug.

here in Australia we have now "plain" cigarette packs with some very graphic pictures on them. Some smokers report a change of taste for the worse. (the "tobacco" inside is exactly the same as it was...) http://www.ashaust.org.au/lv3/action_plainpack.htm (link not for the fainthearted )
