I have a confirmed hiking partner to hike New Mexico section of the CDT with in April and May.

Plans are now taking on more serious tone.  Hope to start around april 1 depending on snow melt and weather in NM.

I had forgotten how tedious the map work can be for a long like.  Details, details, details.

For two months I am going to escape.

I want you to have a great hike but I'm hoping my favorite part of the SW has a decent winter, meaning you might have to post hole a few hundred yards over Mount Taylor.

Enjoy Doug. You deserve it.

That would be fine with me- better a little wetter than dryer.

Westy, I can't wait any longer, I am off, even if it is only New Mexico.

My PSA is starting to move slightly.

I would love to have you along. When you get ready, someday, let me know but I can't wait any longer.

That should be a very nice time of the year to do that section.  Good luck and have fun planning all the "tedious" details.
