Hello All,
I have been reading BP and looking at the vaious posts here for a few years and was prompted by the post related to the hikinng deaths in Missouri, my 'home' state, on one of my favorite trails, to register.
I am fortunate enough to have been able in the last 8 years to get back into backpacking.
My favorites are the Sierras, Colorado, remote Nevada Mtn Ranges and the NW ( the NW is on my list).
I look forward to interesting and amusing discourse with you all.
Have a great day.
Jay

Hi Jay.
Welcome aboard. I can offer no amusement because I'm grumpy. I have no sense of humor. I never smile. Don't believe me? Just tell a joke and watch my avatar. Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
It's not your joke. It's me.

Hi Jay. You did not give us enough information. Do you wear a kilt while hiking? If so, please post pictures.

Welcome aboard Jay (if that is your real name).
We have many questions for you, but the Inquisitors are apparently busy so I'll begin with a few.
When making a PB&J, what kind of bread, what kind of jelly and do you prefer your peanut butter chunky or smooth?
How do you drink your coffee?
Are you intimidated by a bear in clothes walking your way in a somewhat aggresive manner?
-------------- Checking out for a while, find me on FB.

Nonsense. Purists only use Pepsi or Coke. Take a trip to the Southern US and you will see.
That and moonpies and RC Cola for a quick lunch.

Okay, we got the kilts, PB sandwiches, and peanuts in the soda questions. Now let's get the rest of the important info.
How do you feel about: beets Brussels sprouts bacon off-leash bears?
Also, do you like to hike fast and stay in front of the women on the trial, or slow down and stay behind to enjoy the scenery?

Howdee Jay:
I love South Central Colorado, spent a great portion of my life there.
I don't have any questions for you but just a word of advice. Forget manskirts.
Lonesome George is a pretty cool cat, lives somewhere in the Show Me State as far as I know.
Let me know if you ever head for Colorado again or Greater Yellowstone where I am now full time.
Happy Trails man,
John

I'm worse than Travis. Even my avatar is black and white.
Grumble.
But seriously, welcome. Yeah, you'll get hammered on kilts, beets, brussel sprouts, and plenty of other ridiculous topics. Be afraid of the bear. Be very very afraid. Not to mention the girl with the octopus.
