I had talked about interviewing with Gensler a few weeks ago, and after 3 rounds of interviewing, THEY OFFERED ME THE POSITION!!  :D

I'm really exited, it looks like a fantastic place to work, and it is getting me OUT of the law firm / private practice industry. I've wanted to go in-house as long as I can remember, so this may make me want to be a lawyer again!

Whoo hoo! Also, it is a real company with a real PTO structure so I can actually plan trips. So maybe I can do PG AND HOTB this year :)

Thank you everyone!! You can imagine how NOT productive I've been today.

So for a little more detail - I will be drafting / reviewing / negotiating project contracts for their southwest region, which includes CO, NV, AZ, and CA. I also get to do training for their project managers so everyone understands the contracts and is consistent, so that means short trips to all of those locations to conduct the training. I love teaching, so that is really exciting, and it means even though I won't be going to court, I'll still get out of the office once in a while.

Heck, if it's that bad, then go in person, prepared to enjoy all the histrionics, laughing inside (maybe outside).  And have a recorder in your pocket.  

But don't tell them where you are going.

True Jim, true. I have another week to think about it. My regional / corporate execs would like me to come in to negotiate / accept the offer in person on the 28th.

I'm now irrationally afraid it is going to evaporate because the job is just that exciting for me. I'm sure it's fine, my logical brain says it's fine (and HR confirmed we're good as long as I accept the offer) but my fear of deals falling through and being trapped in this place are making me crazy.

Only 3.5 work days until I know for sure!
