Nope, that's what they put on the Mars Science Lab! Nuke "batteries" anyway to avoid the low sunlight problem of the Mars Winter that finally snagged Spirit.

Was kind of thinking the same thing.  Ten years?  You have got to be kidding me.  Ten years is supposed to be a long time,, and that thing landed just reccently.
