I have the Samsung Rugby dumb phone. It is water, dust, shock etc proof and I have been very happy with it. When it gets dirt and grime or whatever on it I just take it in the shower with me or hold it under a running faucet. It has spent some time in my swim trunks when I forget to take it out. I threw it off a roof once because it was a little uncomfortable in my pocket when I was laying down on the shingles.

It is very nice to have a phone you don't have to baby.

The ones I've had for my phones have all been far from pieces of anything like that.

Seidio also seems to be a desired manufacturer of cases. Any which way, If I'm going to get an aftermarket case, I want it waterproof. It would be really nice if the phone was already manufactured to those specs in the first place. I'm finally at a place where I am considering a new phone. My Droid Incredible has been just that, incredible. However, after looking at specs of current phones on the market, I'm starting to drool for the "latest and greatest". I'm starting to lean toward the HTC Droid DNA but I was also considering the Samsung Note II for a while also. They are all pretty danged impressive these days for different reasons.

Probably just my bad luck. After a couple of months, the rubber seal wouldn't stay sealed.

I've seen mixed reviews on the Otterbox cases. You are not alone.

Oh yeah sure, waterproof to the Challenger Deep (or as far as your arm will reach whichever comes first), shock and sand proof blah, blah, blah.

BUT the real litmus test question remains

Does it have a cupholder?
