A Wheelchair Hiker Timeline Twenty three short years ago Into my chair transcended; Thought all my outdoor doins' was done believed my turn had ended... But one day I just rolled along and down the street I chose I found the door had opened some, a door I thought had closed. I saw a hill and took a chance pushed hard and then rolled back; That door had quietly been opened, just a crack. Diablo soon, then Mission Peak I heard those hinges creakin', That door had opened a small bit more and through it I was sneakin'... White Mountain came, a dream come true, the door flew off its hinges; One 70 mile day run next - guess I believe in binges!
There's not too much a guy can do if he believes he'll do it; So if someone shuts a door on me I'll simply bust right through it.
The moral here? It's easy, folks - excuse me for my rant. So join me, run or roll outside, And NEVER say "I can't"!

70 mile day? When did I miss that?
-------------- "Sure as I know anything, I know this - they will try again...They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people... better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave."

Dang. All these years and we still haven't ever linked up. I'm still in awe of the trails you rolled upon. White Mtn was a triumph to say the least. My sidekick Thumper is all puffed up since Bumper got laid up. He is in serious need of a hiking partner to keep him motivated. Know of anyone in this neck of the woods. Did they ever find Fred Claussen, that Thumper and I spent a week looking for?
