Was hiking after dark. When I got to the top of the knob, I realized I had missed the trail to the shelter. Wasn't about to backtrack. Wandered around for a while looking for a place to pitch my tent and found this spot.

I don't have favorites especially when it comes to tents. I actually avoid them in my photos. But I have a few memorable photos for better or worse.

After decades of not taking photos, I took a cheap camera and took a photo of a cheap tent that I planned to leave behind the next day. I regret that I didn't get the scenery without the tent.

This is one of my first photos after decades of backpacking without a camera.
