Heck with fears of The Matrix. We NEED this, don't we?

Nothing comes for free. Instead of using a 25 degree rated bag, now you'll need a 15. And I'm guessing those things aren't light either.
Now if you could capture gas from that re-hydrated chili........

Funny. I already recharge my batteries by spending the night in my sleeping bag.

Shhh. Don't go telling people you recharge your batteries by sleeping in my sleeping bag. What happens at PG stays at PG.

This thing harvests power from body heat. Some of us don't produce all that much, giving the warm-blooded the tech advantage.
I am not comfortable with this disparity.

Join the party. There is plenty of heat in numbers.

And plenty of cooties too, with a side of snoring. I'd rather have dead batteries.

In all seriousness, I have no need of a battery charger, at least not on the 7-day trips we currently do. Fresh batteries in my headlamp and a fully-charged Nook will easily last, and I have nothing else that runs on batteries.
I run on coffee and chocolate.

Oh, I agree. I carry nothing that runs on batteries other than my light. No GPS, no music, and no Nook. If I wanted to listen to music in the field, I might hum, or sing in my head (to myself--No one wants to hear me sing). Problem is that sometimes I need to get that ear wig out of my head, and only outside music is good for that.
Yep, fresh batteries in the light and I am good for a week or 2.

I want one that can be sewn into a thermo-regulating, wicking, bug repellent, UV protectant, and breathable bodysuit for hiking.
Why not maximize power generation through raised body-temps and motion? Something needs to keep the Personal Locator chips implanted in our skulls charged.

Stilsuits also capture all of your spent moisture for reuse.

For arid environments. We don't need to go that extreme here in the east, and I'd like mine a little lighter.
