Based on my enjoyment of both the Let's see your favorite tent pictures and Contour IV Backpack threads, I thought I would start a "Show us your favorite pack pictures." I'm thinking of actual pictures of your backpacks on backpacking trips.
 Backpack on Snow, February 2013
Regardless of season or location, I'd love to see people's actual backpacking packs in action. Anybody else want to share?

Tarol's picture makes me wonder if I could find and scan any pictures of my first pack. . . Which was darn near before film, let alone digital

Another fun thread . . . in regard to packs, I've got several arrows in my quiver -- a Gregory Z55 that I use for most trips, a Gregory Z65 that I use for winter trips or longer trips, and an Arc'teryx Cierzo 35 that I use for ultralight trips.
Here goes . . .

Wading through a creek in the Daniel Boone National Forest (Gregory Z55).

At an overlook in the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area (Gregory Z65).

At an overlook in the Joyce Kilmer-Slickrock Wilderness of the Nantahala National Forest (Gregory Z55).

Clifty Wilderness, Red River Gorge Geological Area, Daniel Boone National Forest (Arc'teryx Cierzo 35).

I would love to add some photos to the pack thread and tent thread, but photobucket hates me.

2012 August carefully step by step down climbing steep talus crosscountry below north side of Silver Fox Pass, in the John Muir Wilderness with Osprey Aether 70 Pack, carrying weight about 65 pounds. Bunji'd Ursack on top, Big Agness UL1 on back, old Fenwick rod, Neoair in side pocket, nalgene on biner, Vasque Bitterroots on the granite.

This is my wife in Jasper National Park on one of our fall backpacking trips last year. She's sporting an Arc'teryx Maia 65 pack.

Here's another, but with me this time. This is a week before the photo of my wife above - but in Banff National Park. Pretty tough to see, but I'm carrying my Mystery Ranch G7000 pack.

Same picture as the tents thread. That's my Green Golite Gust in a pile on the ground on the right end of the tent.

Another very neat thread.......
This was my first back packing trip, 8 days in a section of the Winds. My mentality while getting ready was "What's Another Couple of Pounds", which resulted in my pack weighing 72 pounds.
We were on a section of the Continental Divide and met this gentleman, Chris Knight, he was was doing a hike of the entire Continental Divide.
Very neat guys with some good input.....maybe somebody here will know him.....we speak of him often.
As for the packs we got quite a kick out of the difference.
