The other day, out of the blue, the wife starts talking about guns. At the end of the conversation, she TELLS ME to go buy a nice hand gun. okie dokie
So, what I pick out is a .357 single action revolver. Ruger. Six hundred bucks.
No, I’m not crazy. It is exactly what I wanted. This piece will fire two different loads > .357 mag or .38 special… and I’ve got a box of each. Sweet
I couldn’t be happier, and I haven’t even fired it yet. Can’t wait to warm that thing up. I’ve named her ‘Jennifer’

Mines similar, only S&W.
The .38s make for more cleaning.

I've had the opportunity to fire a couple while on range officer duty. They are fun!

I never understand why people keep harping about gun ownership! Guns do not kill. People do. And just as in Red Dog's case -- the issue is not the gun -- but the wife!! That $600 could have gotten Red Dog a lovely, lovely Hilleberg tent or winter sleeping bag!!! Sheesh...

Sweet! I had two Blachawks and two Redhawks, all in 44mag. They were all fun.

Very nice. I'm down to 2 Ruger SA revolvers, a Single-six and a .45lc Blackhawk Bisley. I had A Super in .44 and another in .41 but neither got shot much so both got sold.

Ah. I'm behind the times, and automatically pictured the Vaquero as a Bislely until I saw the hammer on the pic. Now you can get to fannin'!

Nice piece! .....Funny, I bought a used Vaquero in .44 mag a couple of weeks ago.....western rig with it....I'm thinking a nice set of Sambar Stag or American Elk grips will dress mine up a bit.
I've also got a single six with no telling how many rounds through it....10's of thousands...bought it new in 1980 and still take it every time I go to the range.
Any way, what ever you do...don't forget your ear plugs!

Good thing you did that before Tucson secedes from AZ.
Some guys around here get little shotgun shells for bears as conventional ammo generally just !@##es them off.
