Sprinklers restrain the damage.

Decent food served for a very long time.

Glad to read they'll rebuild.

That's too bad.  I listened to a couple of her radio interviews.  She's very interesting.

That particular restaurant or locally grown food, which that restaurant has long been a proponent of, versus items shipped in forty foot containers from South America?

If the restaurant (or cafe): You've been there often? Or at all?

Enough to know a scam when I eat one.

Fodder for the yuppies that think it's something.

Hear they're canceling the Angus burgers. Tragic.

You live in NYC right?  And you're whining about Chez Paninsse with the best food in America at your doorstep?

You need a reality check.

And, of course, there's a lot in between McDonald's and CP...

Nope. Born and raised there but nowadays just pop in for a visit when I'm around D. C. or Philadelphia for NIH or collaboration travels, little treats for myself for enduring the visions of flyover country on the somewhat too frequent trips.

You see that initial post as "whining"?

:D

Well the question of where you store that stick in your avatar photo has been answered.

New York City might have some of the best food experiences in America but I've found a lot of small places tucked into various coastal towns in my travels that offered some of the best food. And some in the small mountain towns of the Rockies as well.

The real point of the thread: Sprinklers work.

How can that be?

Most people have never heard of it, as most people don't give a damn about what they put in their bodies--including hiking sticks, according to High Sierra Fan.  :D
