Alistaire and Momma:

Kirk and I had a chance to take the kids out to the Olympics this past weekend, and to show Walker and Alistaire The Hoh rain forest for their first time.

Walker turned 3 on Sunday as well, and did his first 3+ mile hike with no carrying. My goal is 4 to 5 miles by summer time for him, since I am carrying Lord Chubbington on my back. And that pack is a good 40 to 45 pounds loaded with him and gear.

Daddy and Walker:

We did! Windstorm and snow on Thursday. Drove in a freak hailstorm. Swung around through Aberdeen and ta-da, sun. Had gorgeous weather ALL weekend! So much better than my birthday weekend at Quinalt first weekend in March, when it dumped all weekend :-D

The problem with children is that they haven't a clue how wonderful it is, really, to have mom or dad carrying them on their "hikes"!!  :O

Cool pics, and clearly, y'all had fun!  Very nice, Sarbar.

This looks like what we did this week too, it has been wonderful to be with my sons and I see the same joy on your face. Great pictures.

Cute little fella. I admire parents who can carry kids on their back on these trails... I get tired enough as it is without carrying a human person! It's very cool though, it will do wonders for your kids as they grow up

Working out faithfully has helped me be able to carry him. Before it was pure torture :-D
It was why I made my oldest son walker really, really early...lol! Mama's back hated it!!
