I discovered (from BPer.com) that Oberto has a new jerky.  It's Bacon~freakin~Jerky!!!  It's not bacon flavored, it's BACON!

I gots to have me some.  I am so excited, I feel like driving to Seattle to get it at the factory or the outlet store.

I'm giving up hookers and blow for this stuff!

Don't be too excited. I tried it before school was out. It is old, room temperature bacon. Not bad really but like you cooked it for breakfast and left the plate on the table and grabbed a piece to eat around noon. Just not worth the price.

No sorry, stay joyful but we are serious bacon lovers here and the last half of the bag sat ignored until I used it for dog treats

I'm sure it's not as good as fresh, but after a few days on the trail, I'm sure it would taste pretty darned good in your powdered eggs, or mixed in with your trout chowder, or slowly chewed and savored....

And it would be better for you than the pre-cooked stuff that is loaded with nitrates

I'm with echo.  Tried it, threw it away.  Nothing like bacon.

Well Ldyblade brought a package home today and DAMN ... that's some tasty stuff.  I don't know what to say about the negetive reviews by some but it was very good, IMO.

It ain't cheap, but it is worth it.  After all, IT'S BACON!
