Protect your kids from random school violence ! Where there is a buck to be made and enough paranoid people to buy them.......

QUOTE
Being PROACTIVE vs. passive against any active shooting violence is up to you. There are no survival guarantees when it comes to being shot at. Like wearing a seat belt in a car wreck, it's a major survival advantage versus not having anything at all for cover-protection.

I was all set to buy one until I saw poor grammar on their website.  Does it make anyone else nuts that folks confuse "your" and "you're?"

So people get upset cuz some of us dont use an apostrophe?

Sorry but thats my posting gimmick.

I have never used one since I started posting here.

As a matter of fact, I dont use them on any boards I visit.

Don't forget two, to and too.  I'm just going to create a blanket reply that most people are morons.  It seems applicable to most questions around here.

I think that the approach where a closet or corner is covered by a ballistic shield is a much more effective, and much more inclusive, attempt to provide some security for children in a classroom situtation.

Probably pretty expensive too.  Chances are low of ever needing it, but given the expanding universe of well armed crazies free in our society, it may be worth the cost to have at least a chance at reducing anxiety for the kids.

The Kids in a Blanket ads are pretty funny, but not very practical, IMO.

I was making fun because these things are not new but have been around for some years now.

Because it’s every American’s right (duty?) to be scared, and to shop, someone has invented the perfect terror protection must-have for back-to-school: bulletproof backpacks! The inventors, both of them fathers of school-age children, say the special plate sewn into the back of the bag can withstand not only bullets, but machetes, hatchets, and Ka-bar knives.

The bags went on sale this week for $175 each and weigh less than Kevlar vests. Kevlar vests were so 2004 anyway.
